Title: What reason...

...would they have for doing this internationally? It's a shame that they couldn't find a way to sell it to the world so everyone can see it. I.E. I can't imagine a production of it where I'm from. It would just seem...quaint.

Yeah, unlike the French Revolution, the American civil war as a plot backdrop seems far less interesting on an international level. I'm American, and I still find it a somewhat boring topic. Plus, it doesn't help that the music score is mediocre (IMO).

Interestingly, southern Americans have a very different view of the civil war than the rest of the country. They refer to it as "The War of Northern Agression."

Honestly the only way I could see this show in Europe would be a touring production destined to schools. 'cause it could be part of the History chair.

I remember when I History I gave the American Revolution we went to watch The Patriot. I wouldn't have bothered to see this show when I gave the American Civil War...it would have been far more interesting than having to hear only lectures :P
