The Graz cast recording is now available on iTunes. There are direct links from the Frank Wildhorn news page.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this link! I was planning on purchasing the CD eventually, but downloading from iTunes is so much easier than waiting for the shipment and it's way cheaper this way, too.

I really never would have assumed it was on iTunes (since the Concept CD in English which could easily be available there - ISN'T) so this little surprise made my day.

So far the only download completed is the Prologue, but what an AWESOME sound. It ends in a fantastic crescendo then suddenly stops and now I can't wait for the rest of these files to finish!

It's already become one of my favorite cast recordings ever. That sounds lame, huh? Well, it's true.

I'm already pretty familiar with the musical so hearing it in another language was cool, and since I don't speak German I have no idea and it doesn't matter to me if the translation is good or not (I've heard German speakers say it isn't).

Thomas Borchert is amazing as Dracula. Powerful, sexy... vocally I wouldn't be able to resist him either

Lyn Liechty sounds great as Mina, a sweet clear, yet powerful voice. Love her especially in "Please Don't Make Me Love You".

They have great chemistry during "The Seduction" and "Finale". Their voices just blend so beautifully.

Caroline Vasicek's "The Mist" was very haunting, and you could hear the longing in her voice. Same goes for "The Invitation".

Jesper Tyden is a fine enough Harker... I mean really he's good, but i don't pay much attention to Harker. I'm a Dracula/Mina fan - even if their union is doomed!

I love Uwe Kröger as Van Helsing... too bad there's not more of him on the recording, however he kept rolling the "r" of Nosferatu and it drives me nuts.

I mean... overall there's not much more I can say. I just love it. The orchestrations really go all out, makes me feel like I'm right there.

I hope there's tons more Dracula the musical productions so I can have cast recordings of them ALL.

I can't imagine this won't do well on iTunes. Maybe it'll boost enough interest in the musical to get some local productions going around the USA - although I can't even seem to get the local theater companies I'm involved in here to do the more popular darker musicals (Jekyll & Hyde, Yeston/Kopit's Phantom, Sweeney Todd, and pretty much any musical that isn't Grease, Oklahoma, you get the idea...).

music itself needs no language
it makes no difference
but right, if there are singers with amazing voices, telling a story rrrrrr ....... user posted image
the German lyrics are not basically bad, but some of them sounded in St. Gallen better

I understand what you mean. It goes for me like thus with the parts of Krolock in the dance of the vampires. I only need to hear his parts and -carpe noctem-.
But for me is Jesper one of the best singers/actors in the scene and if you had seen the show you would give him more attention. user posted image

I´m working to point you pictures of Dracula Graz ;)

Oh please do! I can only find a handful of Dracula pictures... I guess I got interested too late for them to still be floating around.
