Title: Ten Years

amyt - October 31, 2007 06:39 AM (GMT)
I posted this to The League list last night and heard back from so many people that I thought if I posted here I might reconnect with other or at least make someone else smile. Sorry I missed the anniversary lunch!

Almost there...I don't know if anyone from the early days of The League is on this list but I was just thinking that the ten year anniversary of SP 1.0 opening on Broadway is next week and it made me feel nostalgic and sent me seeking The League. I also saw T. Eric Hart (i.e. Bennyhoff) as Jekyll and Hyde on Sunday which I think kickstarted the memories.
I didn't join the fun until June 98 but it was an amazing time at the Minskoff once I did. The nights in the tunnel, running in to Leaguers on the street, the nasty ushers that didn't like The League or anyone else for that matter, the At This Performance board, house seats, Door 5, Barrymore's and the Broadway Grill, the freaking Today Show, "Great Fun!", the old wall, the new wall, the stage door, flower toss, the brunches, chocolate syrup, three Wildhorn shows on Broadway at the same time within a block of each other, buttons, Jekkies, bleach blond, the League t-shirts, the cast especially Ken Labey, understudies, standbys, BCEFA fundraising, pimpernelisms and soooo much more.
Kel and Liz, Susan W., Mark, Amy, Noelle, Dunja, Darlene, Nancy and Colleen, Renee and Louise, Peter, Shari, Kirby, Anne, Sal, Dani, Leslee, Kim, Nancy and Gary, Anna, Terri, Stacey, Doris, Michelle, Agnes, Christine, Karen G., Anne Marie, Marsha, Trisha, Siobhan, Stephanie, Barbara Anne, Susan, Joanna, Susan and Laura, Rafaele, Linda and my Mom...I had a blast thanks to all of you. If I was still on the east coast I would have planned an anniversary brunch but alas I am now living in California. I don't even know if any of you are still on this list but it you are "Hello! and thanks for the memories!"
Now isn't it about time for the revival? ;-)
Hugs!

I missed out on all the action. I discovered "The Scarlet Pimpernel" in a production I saw in my state in 2002 and loved it. I have always enjoyed the storyline and was in shock when I found out it had been a musical. :o

I love the music and of course I have gotten (I think) all of the CD's out there with the except of any foreign language CD's.

It would be a great idea to have a national tour of the musical. :D
