Title: Jekyll
Description: A Mini-series
A Sin With No Name - August 4, 2007 07:11 PM (GMT)
I've recently discovered that BBC America has created a four part mini-series entitled Jekyll. According to the synopsis on IMDB:
| QUOTE |
| London, 2007. Tom Jackman is the only living descendent of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He has made a deal with his dark side: a body share. What Mr. Hyde doesn't know is that Tom has a family. There is a wife and two children that he'll do anything to protect from his dark side. With all the resources of modern technology, and the best surveillance hardware, he's determined to keep his dark side in line. He's done a deal with his own devil. What neither of them knows is that an ancient organisation, with limitless wealth and power, is monitoring their every move, and a plan over a century in the making is coming to fruition. It airs August 4th at 8:00 P.M.

I caught the pilot episode but it didn't appeal to me all that much. But episodes of the show can be found here:

I've gotten to see the first episode, I've decided to get the dvd sometime. When it was still in production last year, I was pretty sceptic to the concept of the story, especially with giving the Jekyll of the story a family. But now that the series is out and there's more information about the story, of course, then I've taken a liking to the series :3

This show rocked! I loved it. I liked the whole family aspect, kind of the Lucy to Jekyll. They don't seen to play too big of a character at the beginning but as Hyde became more and more involved, it gave Jekyll something more to fight for.

Jekyll has just started in Aus, but I really enjoyed the pilot ep and am hanging on for more.
It's an interesting angle, giving "Jekyll" a family- I also can't wait to find out his connection to the original Henry Jekyll...

I have the box set of the series on DVD. I really enjoyed it! It's a very fascinating interpretation of the Jekyll and Hyde story, serving as a form of sequel in a sense to the original story. James Nesbitt is brilliant in the role!
