Title: Favourite Marguerite

My favourite Marguerite is Christine Andreas, who is very elegant in the Marguerite costumes. Her singing voice is so powerful and beautiful, especially in When I Lookk at You and You are My Home. :) Rachel York's Marguerite is lovely and sweet, and her singing is great, too. Carolee Carmello...her vocie is strong, but her Marguerite looks very weird to me, always with an odd look;her portrayal of Lisa Carew in J&H's 1994 concept album seems strange to me as well. I don't know much about Amy Bodner's Marguerite.

I think my favorite Marguerite is Rachel York. It's a tough decision because the role was changed somewhat from version 1 to version 2 so that figures into the comparison. I loved Christine Andreas but Rachel, combined with the difference in the character, makes me remember her portrayal fondly. :)

Now we're talkin'. I've seen Christine, Rachel, and Amy. (Have a you-know-what of Carolee). I think I'm torn between Christine Andreas and Rachel York...with Christine a tad in front. But they all brought so much of their talent to this delightful role. Honestly, it's among the finest acting/singing roles on stage, imo.
Regarding Percy, there's no one who played it better than Douglas!

:D I wasn't able to see The Scarlet Pimpernel on Broadway dang it.... But I have seen Douglas Sills in other productions and he would be the best Percy. :P
I have listened to the various CD's and I like Rachel York's vocals better then Christina's. So does that count :)

Well, I've never seen any of the productions, but since I have the OBC CD Christine will get my vote.

I think Linda (Eder) would have been the best Marguerite
