Title: Waiting For The Moon
Description: change of plans

Juggler - February 15, 2007 05:01 PM (GMT)
Hi folks,
I have just learned that Waiting For The Moon will not be play at the North Carolina Theatre in Raleigh, this summer. While this may be a disappointment, I have also learned that the producers are working on a different production at a larger venue. The details (such as the city, venue and dates) have not been finalized yet, but they will be announced as soon as they are.

Anyone with tickets for the North Carolina Theatre production should contact their point of sale with any inquiries about returns or exchanges. I can't speak to the policies or options that you have on this. Tickets were available through TicketMaster.com and from the box office at 919-831-6950, among other places.

Stay tuned for updates.

Best,
Peter

Thanks for confirming.

I hope something happens now. As always, patience

There's now an article on Playbill Online about this change of plans. They offer some comments from Vincent Marini about things. Of note, he says that Jarrod Emick and Lauren Kennedy "are more committed to the show now than ever."

Further updates, as always, when we have them.

Best,
Peter

MAYBE IT WILL BE NEAR PHILADELPHIA!

I would die happy.

I will admit that I am not a fan of all of Wildhorn's work but Waiting For the Moon has a good deal of potential. As Vince Marini alludes to, it's a much different piece of work than he's done in the past. The story and staging need some tweaking...but the sets, costumes and Andy Blankenbuehler's choreog. is outstanding. The score is romantic, touching and bustling at times . I'm happy they are spending the time they need on this one.

Personally I see similarities between "Moon" and Scarlet Pimpernel, for the simple reasoning of " there's so much to like about this show".

Moon was nominated for several Barrymore awards in Philly last Oct.

Your review brings back such good memories for me...

I'm really hoping to see some incarnation of this show on Broadway.

Any news on this? The Broadway @ Sea site says it's "Broadway-bound."

pati b - April 27, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
They're all Broadway bound, these days aren't they?

So very true, would like for it to actually be Broadway-bound, though.
