Title: New Demo from THE DARK SIDE OF OZ

ashtonu - September 11, 2006 05:30 AM (GMT)
Hey everyone.... Just thought I'd mention that I recently recorded a completely psycho demo for me and Ryan's (rockfenris2005) musical comedy, THE DARK SIDE OF OZ. Ryan wrote the lyrics and I wrote the music; it's a song called I'M LOSING MY HEAD.

Ryan just put it on his website: www.freewebs.com/radicalwizardry Just go to the SONGS section. ;)

That song is INSANE!!!! :D

I enjoyed it immensely. The music is wonderful and that "line-dancing" part cracked me up. :)

Did you sing that?

Yep, I sung it. Not very well, but I sung it, LOL. Ryan's getting another singer to record it again eventually.

Anyway, thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

I went and listened to the song. The piano playing was wonderful. What talent.

It is a crazy song. I loved the "line dance" part too.

I am new, so what is "The Dark Side of Oz"? I gather Dorothy in the song is the Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz".

Thanks for posting the link, Ashton.

Yes, it is the same Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz".

"The Dark Side of Oz" is an off-beat sequel (sort of) combining the follow-up Oz books of L. Frank Baum: The Marvelous Land Of Oz, Ozma Of Oz, Dorothy & The Wizard In Oz & The Emerald City Of Oz.

It's an adventure, a romp, with crazy & dramatic songs paving the way...

The Nome King, Roquat of the Rocks, plots to take over The Emerald City & regain the Silver Slippers that were apparently stolen from him many years ago...

It's almost a melodrama.

And yes, I really enjoy the song & loved the way it turned out

Excellent, but of course I come to expect that from you, Ryan.

And, Ashton, don't put yourself down! You sound fabulous on the recording!
