Hi folks,
The first season of For The Glory may be over ... and never fear, there is word out that another season will definitely happen next summer ... but in the mean time, you can see The Civil War at the Tall Stacks Celebration in Cincinnati, Ohio this October. I just received the following from Bunny Arszman, director of the Showbiz Players:

- start fwd -

This production of "The Civil War" will be a little different than any other production. The best way to discribe it would be to say it is a mix of all of the various versions. I've taken a little from the Broadway version, the National Tour and the Gettysburg production and then added our own flavor to create a truly unique version of the show. Audiences will see a slow motion fog filled battle sequence during the instrumental segment of "For The Glory", "Oh Be Joyful" has been re-instated as has "Missing You My Bill" and "Father, How Long". I am extremely proud of this production. To be able to perform this show at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is an honor beyond belief! This show belongs there!!

The cast is phenominal! Tom Cartwright, who has won the Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best Performance by An Actor in A Musical for both "Jekyll & Hyde" and "The Scarlet Pimpernel" returns as Confederate Captain Billy Pierce. Our enslaved ensemble will absolutely rock the place!!

Tickets are only $20. You can tour the Freedom Center for an extra $9.50. This production takes place right in the middle of one of the top 10 events in the Country - Tall Stacks! There will be lots of Riverboats and many Grammy award winning acts performing along the river at the same time as our show. There will be a lot of exciting things to do!

Performances are from October 3rd - October 8th. Performances are nightly at 7:30 pm. Matinees are at 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased through the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center by calling toll-free (1-877-672-9965) or by stopping in during regular business hours. Make plans now!!
