Beth Leavel has been nominated for a TONY for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE.

Beth was part of the TCW cast from The Alley production through the broadway production.

For the newbies: At the Alley she portrayed Mrs. Bixby(mother). Remember "Five Boys". She was also Violet (a prostitute). When it went to Broadway, "Five Boys" was gone and she switched names to Mabel (the other prostitute). Never did understand why she and Hope switched names, since the prostitutes were basically interchangeable and I don't remember them being called by name.
