Title: For The Glory net-together anyone?

Juggler - May 13, 2006 01:21 AM (GMT)
Hello all,
I'm just starting to sit down and try to plan a trip to see "For The Glory" near the start of its run. I can't believe it's little more than a month away! Well, I've heard from some people already telling me that they'll be seeing the show during previews or on opening weekend. So I'm wondering... would there be interest in a net-together?

If you're planning to go to the show... or just thinking about it and still figuring out your plans... let me know if you like the idea.

Would one of the preview days (14th-16th) work? Or the weekend of the opening? Saturday might be difficult with only limited seats available for opening night, but maybe we could try for Sunday the 18th (and then the lucky ones who get in on Saturday can still join us for the meal, or see it twice). If anyone thinks that the week or weekend after opening would work better, speak up about that too. I'll start a list of who's interested when, and see if there's enough interest in a gathering.

Drop me an email at broadway@city-net.com (and if you can, please use something clear like "For The Glory Net" as a subject line - don't want to lose anyone in the spam I get). Tell me when you're there, or might be there. Tell me how many are in your party, and if you have tickets for the show or not.

If you've never experienced a net-together, they're great fun. Anybody that wants to will try to attend the same performance(s) of the show, sometimes getting group seats at a discounted rate. There's usually a meal involved, where we invade some restaurant and sit around sharing thoughts and opinions about the show (and other things) as we eat. Cast and crew are usually invited to join us... and more often than not, some of them take us up on the offer!

This promises to be a great new production, with Michael Lanning, Keith Byron Kirk, Rob Evan and Bart Shatto leading a terrific cast. So let me know what you think of the idea. :)

All the best,
Peter

I wish I could come :(

I really wish I could but I don't think I'll get to see it until sometime in July. I'm SO looking forward to seeing it. The only thing that bothers me is that now, Kelly and I can't encourage her boss to choose The Civil War for one of their upcoming seasons.

Hi folks,
I thought I'd do another quick post with an update on the net-together plans for For The Glory in Gettysburg, PA. So far I have about a dozen people who will all be there for the final preview on Friday, June 16th. We'll be setting up a group dinner before the show that night, and then probably something along the lines of post-show drinks. We're hoping to get some of the cast to join us, and post-show may be the best time for that. We certainly have room for more, so if you are interested in joining in and you haven't contacted me yet, feel free to do so at broadway@city-net.com

Again, it's dinner and post-show drinks for the final preview, Friday June 16th.

Should be a lot of fun!

Best,
Peter
