MEDIA THEATRE OPENS 2010 BROADWAY SERIES WITH ‘JEKYLL AND HYDE’ MUSICAL
Frank Wildhorn’s popular “Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical” will open The Media Theatre’s 2010-11 Broadway Series September 29-October 31.
Based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel, the pop-rock musical follows the story of a doctor who, in the midst of trying to find a cure for his father’s mental illness, unwittingly unleashes his dark side. It ran for four years on Broadway and produced two major worldwide hits: “This is The Moment” and “Someone Like You”.
The Media Theatre’s production will feature Patrick Ludt as Jekyll/ Hyde. Ludt portrayed the lead role of Roger in “Rent” and was also seen in Media’s “My Fair Lady” and “The Wizard of Oz”. Stephen Bonnell will portray Danvers and Elisa Matthews will be Emma in Artistic Director Jesse Cline’s depiction of Wildhorn’s musical.
Cline states that ‘this production of “Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical” will be sleek and very sexy. It will have audiences on edge.’
