On October 4th 2010, Frank Wildhorn will be at the Raimund Theater in Vienna for a Concert of "Frank Wildhorn & friends" as announced by the VBW ! :D

Among the starts that will perform will be Thomas Borchert, Pia Douwes and Linda Eder.
Songs from "Jekyll & Hyde", "Dracula", "Der Graf von Monte Christo" and "Rudolf" will be played along with songs from "Wonderland" and "Bonnie & Clyde"

Tickets will be for sale, starting August 11 ;)

Also, Drew Sarich will be back in Vienna (he'll replace Thomas Borchert as Von Krolock) so I'm hopping he'll also be in the Concert!

Just hope they keep Uwe Kröger away from it :P

Is it getting recorded recorded or like the last one with Brandi & Thomas... filmed for archive purposes not released (or was it released?). I see Brandi has since posted some clips on her new website.

VBW only films shows for archive. They don't record the shows. This is very likely a CD recorded Live. But nothing is official for now.
The Graz Concert was recorded also for archives I think.

I don't know what will Linda sing...specially with Pia on stage too I think she has the risk of getting overshadowed by Pia.

I confess I was hoping some more songs, or say, a better song list choice. I think we didn't really needed "Where do broken hearts go" or the 10272567th versions of "Only Love" and "This is the moment" but well...I can't wait to hear Pia singing "Finding Wonderland" and "Please don't make me love you" !

Apparently it was filmed with 5 HD cameras...which makes me HOPE that the Concert is released in Blu-Ray!

Any news on a release date for the CD and DVD?

Nothing official. The CD is scheduled for a January release but it's not certain and the DVD doesn't have any date nor certainty that will be released anymore.

According to this recent interview with Frank, the CD of this Concert will be finally released this summer!

Any further updates on the summer release date? It's about half way through summer now here in the U.S.

Nothing so far...though, in Europe, Summer begings in mid-June and ends in end September

That's HitSquad's fault. They keep announcing dates for the release but they end up never releasing anything. Last I heard it was announced "at least until the end of November".

Also they have now reduced the announcement only to the CD and stopped talking about BD/DVD.

Honestly, with all this, I've almost lost interest. It's been over a year since the Concert, I don't see the reason for such a delay.
