Title: Call for help with a Cleveland radio interview

Juggler - July 29, 2010 09:18 PM (GMT)
Hi folks,
I've heard from the managing director of Mercury Summer Stock, which is presenting Pimpernel in Cleveland, Ohio this coming month. They're doing a half-hour radio program to promote the show, next Monday, 2 August, and would like to have one of the fans of the show as part of the program, if possible.

This is for the NPR show 'Around Noon' (broadcasting on 90.3 WCPN IdeaStream). It's a half hour program which will include songs from the show, interviews with cast members, etc. and they'd like to get another perspective. They're looking for someone who has seen the show a number of times, and can talk about why you love it so much. Living in the Cleveland area may be a bonus, but not necessary I think.

Please write directly to Brian Marshall at mercuryss@mac.com if you're interested in helping out with this.

And check out 'Around Noon' on Monday.

And see the show at www.mercurysummerstock.com from 6-21 August.

Best,
Peter

To follow up on this - I hear Brian got a lot of responses, so I want to say thanks to everyone offering to help out with it!

The radio program is now online at http://www.wcpn.org/index.php/WCPN/an/31501/

If you want to skip directly to the part about SP, it starts around 28:30 (halfway through). You'll need to let the stream load for a while before you can jump forward. The segment is about 20 minutes long.

It includes performances by Mercury Summer Stock cast members of "The Riddle", "Only Love" and a short version of "You Are My Home", and discussion with the director, the star, and yes... one of us. This could give you a taste of the show, if you're still considering heading to Cleveland.

All the best,
Peter
