Title: Dracula for licencing

Fantasma da Opera - September 12, 2009 03:45 PM (GMT)
MTI has of now available the rights for performing DRACULA.

Apparently "At last" is back in the show, Van Helsing injects morphine in himself and then sings "Summer comes" (aka "Rosanne").

Sadly, Mina's "The mist" reprise is not back...that's a pitty

Fantastic news!

Wonderful news! Hopefully, we'll start seeing some productions around the US soon.

Do any of you happen to know whether they'll be using the Graz orchestrations or something different? I'm assuming there will be at least some electric guitar, judging by the orchestra requirements...

I'm pretty sure they're gonna use the Graz orchestrations ;) However, probably the score for licencing is ready for a smaller orchestra. The Graz orchestra was really big (30 to 40 piece if I recall correctly) and nowadays that's extremly rare in Theaters unfortunatly.
Though I'm sure if a production prefers to use the B'way orchestrations or the Gallen orchestrations MTI will allow ;)
