The Terms of Service that you agreed to when registering for an account on these boards state that "you will not use this BB to post any material which is ... violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB."

InvisionFree has additional Terms of Service posted on their website, which state: "You may not post, upload, link to, or email any Content that contains, promotes, gives instruction about, or provides prohibited Content." And that "Repeat copyright infringers will have access to InvisionFree terminated."

Bootlegs and Music Sharing: Recording musicals and concerts from the stage, in audio or video format, is almost always illegal. Trading or selling bootleg recordings or copies of commercial recordings is also illegal. There should be no discussion of trading or selling bootlegs, demos or copied music or videos on these boards.

Lyrics and Scripts: Song lyrics and scripts are copyrighted material, and should not be posted on these boards. This refers to full song lyrics - it is permissible to quote a few lines of a song as part of a discussion or in your signature.

Photographs: Taking photos of performances in many theaters is illegal. Those photos should not be shared or discussed here. Photos taken by fans at the stage door are legal. Photos ar typically held under copyright by their photographer. This means you shouldn't post a photograph that was taken by someone else, including production photos or headshots, unless you have secured their permission to do so. Instead, try posting a brief description and then a link to the photo(s) elsewhere on the web.

Reviews and Articles: Reviews, articles and other printed material, whether published online or through more traditional means, are usually copyrighted by default. These should not be reposted here on the message board unless the material is in the public domain, or permission has been secured to repost it. This means you shouldn't copy and paste the full text of reviews or articles on these boards. Instead, try posting a brief description, perhaps a quote or two (which is permissible), and then a link to the full article or review elsewhere on the web.

Posts that violate these Copyright Policies will be removed by the Moderators.

If you are the owner of a copyright which you believe has been violated on these boards, please contact a Moderator or myself to have the matter resolved.
