...and this time I have numbers! :)

I've just heard that the Rudolf recording appeared on the Austrian charts. The recording debuted on Ö3 Austria's "Hit Parade" (top 75 albums) at #17 at the end of April, and lasted 7 weeks total (4 of those in the top 40).

For comparison, the Vienna cast recording of Jekyll debuted back in 2002 at #26, and also lasted 7 weeks, and the Graz recording of Dracula debuted at #34 and lasted three weeks. Not so good for Dracula, but really good for Rudolf.

Some additional information: The Rudolf CD was available at any CD store at least in Vienna just after release, and they had special offers, just 14 Euro. I think this was very helpfull to stimulate sales. I would not even think twice when a musical CD is on sale for 14 Euro.
You should also compare the cast album of Rebecca, debuted back in 2006 at #18, and lasted 15 weeks plus additional 4 weeks for the Gesamtaufnahme. Just to get an impression on numbers.
