This is not the ten year anniversary or any special day. I just decided to write a smal tribute to Frank and his coworkers.
It was almost ten years ago when I first had the pleasure to listen to the tunes of "Scarlett Pimpernell". I bought the CD and loved it, still do. Here is something for me I thought and went on with the next album "Jekyll&Hyde",The complete work.It totaly blow me away. This journey with Frank and his music has been a real pleasure. I remember the visit to Wimbledon to see my first J&H and the disapointment with the lead character, fortunately the girls saved my day.
I will always remember the warm week in Graz with my wife. Two Dracula shows and the amazing concert with Frank and his friends. And the brief chat with Frank.
I remember this summer in Bad Hersfeld with my son and a perfect end off that perfect day, watching J&H in the warm night.
My son has also found the path to Franks music. Playing it on his piano.
Singing it, enjoying it.
Maybe some day I will see him singing the role of Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde?
Iam a huge fan of another special man The story and the character of Cyrano the Bergerac has always facsinated me.
"Walk tall or don't walk at all", that's what Cyrano is about. A tough man with a romantic spirit. A man I like to be.
When I heard that Frank had worked on a musical about Cyrano I was thrilled.
I am really looking forward to see this story on stage tasting the tunes again. Getting that special feeling of a complete work. I know I won't be disapointed.
I am also planning to see "The Count of Monte Christo" in Switzerland next spring.
Evereyone should get to know these classics.
This hobby is not cheap, but it sure is worth it.
From the bottom of my heart. "Thank You Frank for all the musical pleasures You have given me and my family and Your fans all over the world".
I hope You still find the inspiration and have the strength to make music for your audience for a long, long, looooong time.
God bless You.
All the best :)
